Congratulations to Prof. Ruth Ley who has joined the Board of Trustees of the Jung Foundation! The Jung Foundation for Science and Research was established in 1967 by Ernst Emil Jung to promote science and social commitment. Since 1975, the foundation has dedicated itself exclusively to the advancement of human medicine, promoting new treatments and strengthening Germany’s credentials as a location for science. Every year, the Foundation awards three prizes which, with a total prize amount of 540,000 euros, are among the best funded medical prizes in Europe. Ruth previously won the Ernst Jung Prize for medicine in 2018 and as an executive board member, she contributes to the governance and strategic objectives of the foundation. This is a significant well-deserved achievement – congratulations Ruth!
