We have many things to celebrate of late, including:
Dr. Cullender graduated in May 2013 with his Ph.D. Tyler’s work showed that innate and adaptive immunity interact to quench bacterial motility in the gut. We will greatly miss Tyler!
Congratulations also to Sara Di Rienzi for her award of a prestigious Life Sciences Foundation Fellowship to pursue her post doctoral work on how the small intestinal microbiota interact with dietary fats.
Our germ-fee facility is up and running! First experiments underway !!!! THANK YOU Beth Bell for single-handedly pulling off this impressive feat!
See Publications list for our PNAS paper on maize host genetic control of the root microbiome, published in early 2013.
And we are happy that Hannah De Jong, our undergraduate researcher extraordinaire, is staying with us this summer!
